Students in Ms. Boelen's honors PreCalc class flew kites today as a culminating activity for applications of right triangle trig. The students first had to master flying the kites (most had never flown a kite) then with the cooperation of the sun used the shadow of the kite and the distance from the student to find the height of their kite.
